For those who've been following our journey: we're the same team behind Trout Lake Animal Hospital and Urgent Care. Trout Lake has been a cornerstone of the East Vancouver community for years, and Van City Vet lets us bring that same standard of compassionate, evidence-based care even closer to the Kingsway corridor — and to you.
What We Offer
Van City Vet is a full-service veterinary clinic for dogs and cats. Whether you're bringing in a new puppy for their first vaccines, scheduling an annual wellness exam for your senior cat, or looking for trusted advice on nutrition and parasite prevention, our team is ready to help.
Our services include:
- Wellness exams and annual health checks
- Puppy and kitten care packages
- Vaccinations (core and lifestyle)
- Preventative care — parasite prevention, nutrition, and more
- Pet dentistry and dental cleanings
- Surgery, including spay and neuter
- Microchipping
- Geriatric and senior pet care
- Health certificates for travel
We do not offer emergency or urgent care at this location. For emergencies, please contact Trout Lake Animal Hospital — they're just down the street.
Our Team
Our doctors, registered veterinary technicians, and support staff bring a genuine love of animals to every appointment. We know a vet visit can be stressful — for your pet and for you — and our goal is to make each visit feel warm, unhurried, and truly helpful.
One of the things we're proudest of is the diversity of our team. We serve one of the most multicultural neighbourhoods in Canada, and we reflect that. Our staff speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, and English, so every family in our neighbourhood can communicate comfortably with their pet's care team.
